November 3rd - Canon "Hollywood" event speculation vs. RED Scarlet

The world seems to be waiting for the next Canon camera - mostly for 5D mark III - or something that will hit that niche.

With Canon's announcement of the unexpected merging of the 1D and 1Ds lines with the 1Dx (to be released in March 2012) - speculation is abound.

In anticipation of the Red Scarlet, Mike Seymour and Jason Wingrove at FXphd.com voiced (on the RC podcast #98 at approx 10min30sec into the podcast) the following idea regarding what Canon would come up with during the November 3rd 2011 "Hollywood" event :

*Note - this was in context of what the Scarlet will have to match once its released.  Announcement also planned on the tail of the Canon event.  Although unlikely that RED will change much from the existing pre-production - less price (which can vary depening on what Canon comes up with.

New Canon camera will have the following:

@Price: sub $15,000 - possible down to $10,000
@Image quality: Alexa good
@SDI outs
@XLRs (audio)
@Piviting & detachable monitors and grips
@PL mount and EF mount options
@Resolution - 4k capture, 2k recording

What most photograhers are actually hoping for is the 5DmIII.  November 3rd - will this be the day of the mark THREE ?  Or a new Canon 3D line?
