Working off a MacbookPro, I'm constantly hit with slow downs - system wide - when Aperture is running. Procedure is... close everything, reboot, work in Aperture - but this doesn't always match life's demands.
Can't seem to find what will help. Nearly all masters are located off the main system. Read somewhere that it takes up 4.04 GB of RAM upon loading..... moving up to 8GB on the system is a costly proposition, without concrete proof that it will help.
Any one have success on this?
Just saw this post. I am using a new macbook pro with core i7 processor and 8 GB of ram, aperture v 3.2.2. I still get the symptoms you are talking about.
