In a demo with a split screen (top white/bottom silver) something of great interest was discovered.
Dead center the silver, with higher natural gain, gave an appearance of at least 1.5 ftL brighter image. A pleasure to see. Moving approximately 15 degrees off axis either direction, both white and silver were equal. And moving any further off axis, yielded an amazing drop of image brightness into a moot grey for the silver screen.
No trigonometry and slide rule in the theater here, just eyeballing it, but the difference is amazing.
A BETTER viewer experience with the white screen~!!
